About Department
AAC’s department of Integrative Medicine is a dual department which means we combine both AAC’s Allopathic and Conventional Medicine department services with the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Department services. This unique conceptual department in Lebanon and the Region offers services for your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health and well-being. Integrative medicine is an approach to health care that includes practices and services that are not traditionally part of conventional medicine, such as Medical Acupuncture, Clinical Aromatherapy, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Homeopathy, Clinic Nutrition, wellness coaching, Pilates, Yoga…
In many situations, as evidence of their effectiveness and safety grows, these therapies are used with conventional and Allopathic Medicine.
Integrative approaches are used to help people with medical conditions — including cancer, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, diabetes and many others — feel better by reducing fatigue, nausea, pain and anxiety. Whether your condition is severe and sudden (acute) or long-term (chronic), your integrative medicine department care team works closely with you and our other health care providers to understand and address your needs.
